Dylan Verrechia is an award-winning Auteur-Director, Producer, and Cinematographer with ankylosing spondylitis from Saint Barthélemy, Antilles. He is the recipient of 65 wins including Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature at Slamdance, Special Mention for Best Mexican Feature at Morelia Film Festival, and Best Narrative Feature at Chicago LGBTQ+ for “Tijuana Makes Me Happy”, “Tierra madre”, and “La Pura Vida”. He helmed “Kids of the Majestic” (Best Feature Children’s Advocacy at Artivist), “Kumeyaay Land” (Best Documentary at Monza Film Fest), and “The Laughter of God” (Best Director at IFCT). Dylan Verrechia graduated after the French national service in Cinema from Paris Nanterre University, La Cinémathèque Française under the guidance of Jean Rouch, and performing at Théâtre des Amandiers. He started working as a sound engineer before graduating with Honors in Film & TV from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. He assisted fashion photographers while working as a camera assistant on union films. He speaks English, French, and Spanish. His work is defined by his strong empathy for his characters, and by his commitment to people’s singular perspectives.
